Although it's still a work in progress, I think I've put enough effort into this to put it in my gallery. I've logged four and a half hours on this guy already and he's nowhere near done; he hasn't even finished being constructed. I still need to apply and sculpt greenstuff, most notably on the Guardsman's joint between his legs and torso, and on the Champion's legs and cape. Then I get to prime, paint, base, and seal. I've got my work cut out for me.
A: is that left arm/power sword a bit in some set, or did you cobble it together out of something? I ask because I have almost the exact same arm, but with a chainsword. Looks glued, but I'd double-check.
B: is that combat shield part of the bolt pistol? They look like one big bit. Part of some special Space Wolves sprue, I assume?
The left arm is from the commander-in-a-box. It originally comes with a chainsword, but I removed it and shaved the guard off of his hand. The power sword is a Chaos power sword that I got in a trade. The right arm with the bolt pistol and combat shield is indeed one bit. It's the only part on the whole model that was actually meant for the Company Champion, and it comes in the command-squad-in-a-box. I'm going to use the Champion's huge power sword on my Captain.

when you buy a commmand squad boxed set, for dark angels or just space marines, it comes with 2 or 3 of the shields with bolt pistols, and you can buy left arms with a sward too, not just a chainsaw, i have a bunch
It's cast resin. Almost all the beakie helmets in my Star Foxes army are resin, the plastic ones are nearly impossible to get.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
